Ingredients
350g flour 1 tsnp bicarbonate of soda 2 tspns ground ginger 110g butter 175g soft brown sugar 1 egg 4 tbspn golden syrup decorations
Method
preheat oven to 19 C grease a few baking trays sift the flour, bicarbonate of soda and ginger into a mixing bowl. then rub in butter until it looks like breadcrumbs stir in the sugar, then the egg and the golden syrup knead dough to about 10mm thick cut out shapes and put them on the baking sheet. add decorations then bake for the 12-15 mins
